It’s not uncommon to find a few harmless spiders in your home, but what many people don’t realize is that spiders only enter your home in search of food; other pests and insects. This is why we receive many calls from customers who have spent the past few months trying to eradicate a spider problem only to be unsuccessful. This is because they aren’t eliminating the food source as well. Once you remove the other pests that spiders prey on, you will have more success with completely removing your spider infestation.
Our Surprise spider control experts have experience with the spiders common to the area. While most spiders are harmless there are two common spiders that should be approached with caution. Those two spiders are black widows and brown recluses.
Brown Recluses in Surprise, Arizona
Brown recluses typically don’t come into homes but when they do they will be found in secluded areas where they are well-hidden. Hence their name. Brown recluse spiders are poisonous and if bitten, a person could experience stinging, redness and severe pain. Sometimes the infected area may turn blue or purple in color and have a white ring around the bite. A blister forms that is filled with fluid and be very painful. Anyone who has experience a brown recluse bite should seek medical attention right away. If you’ve stumbled upon a brown recluse in your home or property give our Surprise spider control techs a call right away; don’t risk getting bit.
Black Widows in Surprise, Arizona
Black widows are very common in the southern states of the U.S. and aren’t typically found in homes but it isn’t uncommon to discover them there. Especially in darker areas including the closet, basement, attics, or under the sink. Many times they are found outside in sheds, wood piles, or even in crawl spaces. Their poisonous bite will cause similar symptoms to that of a brown recluse however it doesn’t create a blister.
